Administrator
Lesley White
Lesley joined Alden Terrace of McHenry in July 2007. She has 10 years of long-term care experience in social services, admissions, dementia care and administration. Lesley knew she wanted to work with older adults when she took classes on aging and development while in college. She has a passion for working with seniors and loves making a difference. Lesley has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Assistant Administrator
Kara Vanderford
Kara joined Alden Terrace of McHenry in October 1999 upon graduation from Indiana University. She became interested in rehabilitation and long-term care when she enrolled in an internship program at a nursing and rehabilitation center during her undergraduate studies. That is when she knew she wanted to work in long-term care with older adults. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Health and says she finds the greatest joy in interacting with patients, residents and their families!
Director of Nursing
Mary Butts, RN
Mary is the Director of Nursing at Alden Terrace of McHenry and is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and nursing operations. Much of Mary’s nursing experience has been in the hospital setting, specifically in the areas of Orthopedics, Neurology, Oncology, Pediatrics and Bariatric Surgery. Mary enjoys volunteering as a camp nurse during the summer and assisting at the local high school when needed. She is currently pursuing a BSN degree and is a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Evanston.
