Dementia Unit Aide

The Dementia Unit Aide will carry out planned activity programs under the direction of the Unit Coordinator. Motivate residents to participate in planned activities. Conduct bedside activities and follow-up for residents who are unable to attend regularly scheduled activities. Update calendars and bulletin boards regularly. Maintain a setting that is warm and positive. The right candidate will be highly creative in implementing fun and engaging activities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Demonstrate an interest in and/or knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. Must be able to work evening and weekend hours.

Dietary Aide

Assist in preparing, serving and cleaning up after meal services. Maintain all food and supply storage areas in a clean and orderly manner. Help with receiving and storing incoming food and supplies. High school education or equivalent required. One year of dietary experience in a hospital setting, skilled nursing facility or other related medical center preferred. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and be enthusiastic. May be required to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies in excess of 50 lbs. throughout the work day.

Full-time and Part-time CNAs

Full-time and part-time CNAs are needed for all shifts. Work with RNs and LPNs in assisting with monitoring vital signs and patient transport. Previous experience helpful. CNA certification required.

RNs and LPNs

Assess residents' clinical conditions, administer medications and treatment plans. Supervise CNAs in their daily activities. Must be licensed in Illinois or eligible to take the licensure exam. LTC experience preferred and CPR required. New grads are welcome to apply.
